The West Manheim Township Board of Supervisors is seeking applicants for two (2) positions on the Zoning Hearing Board.

The Zoning Hearing Board consists of five residents and an alternate who serve the township and are appointed by the Board of Supervisors to serve a five-year term.  The purpose of The Zoning Hearing Board is to assure fair and equitable application of the zoning ordinance.  It hears and decides upon appeals from a decision or determination of a zoning officer in connection with the Zoning Ordinance and may grant Special Exceptions and Variances from the terms of the Zoning Ordinance in accordance with previously established criteria.  The Board is a quasi-judicial body and may not make or modify the zoning ordinance.  The Zoning Hearing Board appoints its own Solicitor independent of the Township Solicitor. Zoning Hearing Board Meetings are held on the 4th Tuesday of each month, on an as needed basis, and are held at the Township Building.
