Public Works Department: Full Time : Laborer
The Township of West Manheim is seeking an individual for a full-time position in our Public Works Department. The work shall include repairs and maintenance to trucks and equipment, tree trimming, leaf pick up, general road maintenance duties, snow and ice removal from township roads, etc. Previous experience and a Class B CDL is a plus, but not required. The ability to lift 75 lbs. is required. Candidate must be willing to obtain a Class B CDL within 6 months of hire. A drug screen and a clean driving record are required.

Police Department: Full Time : Police Officer
The West Manheim Township Police Department is currently recruiting new police officers. You must be capable of possessing requisite skills, knowledge and abilities for the position.
Candidates must possess current PA Act 120 certification or able to obtain waiver of PA Act 120 certification if employed as a Police Officer in another state.

General Requirements for the position of Police Officer:
1. Citizen of the United States.
2. Must be twenty-one (21) years of age prior to appointment.
3. No civilian or military criminal history of misdemeanor or felony crimes; summary and/or ordinance arrest and convictions will be examined and may be cause for rejection.
4. Must be in good physical health, with weight in proportion to height.
5. Must obtain or have a valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License prior to appointment.
6. Must be ACT 120 Certified or recently graduated from a MPOETC academy prior to appointment.
WMTPD provides police services to approximately 9,000 residents covering approximately 19.9 square miles of southern York County. The department has an authorized strength of 10 sworn members. Starting salary is $57,318 in 2020 and officers with seven years of service are currently making $79,732.
