ORDINANCE NO. ___-2024
AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF WEST MANHEIM, YORK COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA, amending section 250-1, “Stop intersections established” of ARTICLE I, “stop intersectionS” OF chapter 250, entitled “vehicles and traffic,” BY ADDING new stop intersections on impounding dam road
WHEREAS, having received numerous complaints about the safety of traffic at the intersection of Impounding Dam Road and Beck Mill Road, the Board of Supervisors of Manheim Township, York County, Pennsylvania, commissioned a traffic study at such intersection;
WHEREAS, the Township received a traffic study, dated by ELA Group, Inc., dated March 25, 2024, which study recommended a four-way stop at such intersection;
WHEREAS, stop intersections have been previously established at the north and south approaches from Beck Mill Road to Impounding Dam Road; and
WHEREAS, based upon the recommendations and in the interests of the health, safety and welfare of the residents of West Manheim Township and the public traveling through said intersection of Impounding Dam Road and Beck Mill Road, the Board of Supervisors desire to establish new stop intersections on Impounding Dam Road with Beck Mill Road.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT SO ENACTED AND ORDAINED, by the Board of Supervisors of West Manheim Township, York County, Pennsylvania, by the authority of the same, as follows:
Section 1. Section 250-1, “Stop Intersections Established,” of Article I, “Stop Intersections” of Chapter 250, entitled “Vehicles and Traffic,” of the Code of Ordinances of West Manheim Township, York County, Pennsylvania, is hereby amended by the addition of the of the following new stop intersections, as follows:
Stop Sign On Direction of Travel At Intersection Of
Impounding Dam Road East and West Beck Mill Road
Section 2. Procedural Defects in Enactment.
Allegations that this Ordinance or any amendment was enacted in a procedurally defective manner shall be appealed as provided in Pennsylvania law.
Section 3. Enactment.
This Ordinance shall become effective in 5 calendar days, as provided by law.
ENACTED AND ORDAINED by the Board of Supervisors of West Manheim Township, York County, Pennsylvania, in lawful session, duly assembled, this ___ day of May, 2024.

ORDINANCE NO. ___-2024
AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF WEST MANHEIM, YORK COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA, amending section 10(A)(1) of ordinance #2023-04, regulation of parking, to add new conditions where stopping, standing or parking a vehicle is not permitted.
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of West Manheim Township, York County, Pennsylvania, at its public meeting held on November 8, 2023, adopted Ordinance #2023-04 to adopt general parking regulations for the Township, including penalties for violations of such regulations; and
WHEREAS, Ordinance #2023-04 has not yet been added to the Codified Ordinances of West Manheim Township; and
WHEREAS, the Township administration and staff have identified additional parking conditions that they have suggested to be regulated by Ordinance #2023-04; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of West Manheim Township, York County, Pennsylvania desire to include the recommended parking conditions to be regulated under Ordinance #2023-04 in the interests of the health, safety and general welfare of the residents of West Manheim Township and the traveling public.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT SO ENACTED AND ORDAINED, by the Board of Supervisors of West Manheim Township, York County, Pennsylvania, by the authority of the same, as follows:
Section 1. Section 10(A)(1) of Ordinance #2023-04 is hereby amended by the addition of the following new sub-subsections:
“k) on a roadway with an unregistered vehicle or with an expired registration.
l) on the roadway any Pennsylvania registered vehicle with an expired or no Pennsylvania inspection sticker.”
Section 2. Procedural Defects in Enactment.
Allegations that this Ordinance or any amendment was enacted in a procedurally defective manner shall be appealed as provided in Pennsylvania law.
Section 3. Enactment.
This Ordinance shall become effective in 5 calendar days, as provided by law.
