Raymond E. Wildasin Law Enforcement Library Memorial Fund

Raymond E. Wildasin Law Enforcement Library Memorial FundDescription: In honoring the memory of lifetime West Manheim Township resident Raymond E. “Ray” Wildasin, he and his family have graciously provided the West Manheim Township Police Department with a beautiful library style bookcase along with a collection of police training publications.

Purpose: The library is established as a resource for West Manheim Township Police Officers to further their police training and educational objectives and serve as a memorial to Ray, a great supporter of the West Manheim Township community.

Funding: Funding of the library will be provided by the Wildasin family and memorial contributions from other sources.

Management: All monies received for the library will be deposited in a separate bank account established for such purpose. Check signing authority will remain with the West Manheim Township Board of Supervisors and Treasurer.

A three-person committee consisting of the Chief of Police, a West Manheim Township Police Officer (designated by the Chief) and a representative of the Wildasin family will make recommendations and have final authority as to all purchases made from the fund and management of the library. The fund shall purchase items for the library at least once per year, or more frequently as approved by the committee. Requests by the Chief of Police for funds shall not be unreasonably withheld.

Additions to the library by the West Manheim Township Police Department or others, in addition to those made by the memorial fund, are encouraged and would be greatly appreciated.
